The city of Longmont is one of 49 cities and counties across North America to receive an 'A' grade for its climate action efforts. The nonprofit CDP, which maintains a worldwide environmental disclosure system where local governments, private companies and investors can report their own climate-related data and initiatives, recently announced who made its 2022 A List. 'Yes, this is a voluntary effort,' Francie Jaffe, Longmont sustainability coordinator, said in an email Monday. 'City leadership directed staff to participate in the CDP reporting as an opportunity to showcase and highlight the ambitious climate action work that the city of Longmont is undertaking.
